Life with 8 month old twins

(I have a few more pictures to add to this, but I figure I go ahead and post so I don't forget to at least put it up. But check back for more pictures and their 8 month official picture!)

Can you believe that we are 8 months old already!

Mom surely can't!

(While I have time this week, I figured it was time to do an in-depth update.)

We wake up at 7-7:30 these days and drink our bottle.
Then mom tortures us with cleaning our noses. (Every morning we wake up with snot all over us or coming out in buckets)

C playing with mom
Then we usually play in this room for a while.

G eating cereal
Then we have some cereal for our mid-morning breakfast. Of course we have to feed ourselves. Big boys don't let moms help.

G playing under the walker
C pushing the walker around

Then its time to play some more.

We move up to our room when we get cranky and we play some more in our room to get ready for nap time.

G in blue, C in brown

We try hard to play till 10am. So we can get in a good nap.
(We are working on the nap thing. They like to only cat nap for 30 minutes. G has been able to do closer to an hour lately.)

After nap, its time for another bottle! Then play time again if mom doesn't have any errands to run. If she does then we jump in the car with her and go for a ride.

Then there is always playing with jessie. Its loads of fun! G really loves the dog.

Then its lunch time!
G eating lunch in his hokie bird outfit

What comes after lunch? Play Time!

play time together! G in red
C running G over in the walker

G haming it up

 Then another nap around 2ish.
Then its bottle and play time once again

G in a box
C in a bunny outfit
Or we even send dad cute pictures of us.
But then 4-4:30 hits and we are no longer happy

G is very upset

So we send pictures of this to dad to convince him he should come hang out with us.
He comes home and all is better! So we have some dinner!

G on left, C on right eating yogurt

C feeding himself yogurt

Then we have bath time.

Then we play in our room.  Then bed time around 7ish. (unless we go to the gym then its 7:30)
We sleep until 1ish on good days. Eat 3oz. Go back to sleep till 5, then eat some more then back to sleep till 7.

(DISCLAIMER: as much as the pictures indicate that they play well on their own all day. That is absolutely not true. We need tons of mom time during play time now. And lots of changing locations.)

Things we do now!
- We get up 1-2X a night. (We have been working on the sleeping through the night. We are getting very close. But not close enough. This past month they went from eating 20+ ounces overnight to eating about 6 ounces max.)
- We eat solid food SOO much better!
- We spent all month with a cold but nothing as bad as last month.
- We are working on taking better naps. Right now we consistently do 30 minutes, sometimes an hour or more.
- We learned to army crawl this month.
- C is getting up on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth but going no where
- C is able to balance to longer times sitting up now.
- We no longer use a baby tub at bath time. Both boys jump in the tub together and lay on their bellies and splash around.
-Bath time is probably our favorite time of days.
- We eat a wide variety of foods- yogurt, cereal, squash, carrots, peas, pears, spinach, strawberry, and banana.
-Traveling has become more of a challenge as we are trying to learn to sleep through the night and we know how to crawl off beds.
-G loves to "pet" jessie.
-We love going to the YMCA nursery to play.
- We are great at the stores and love to shop around.
- We love taking naps in the car. As soon as the car is rolling we are often asleep
-  Mom and Dad (Mostly Mom) change so many dirty diapers now!
-We were able to get out once this month and go for a run with mom since the weather was so nice.
-We also got to experience our first snow fall at home. (We saw some snow in NH)
- We love to play with each other when we are happy. And often times just looking at each other makes us laugh.
- We are ticklish now! When you play with our bellies we laugh like old men.
-C loves to blow raspberries and talk. He loves attention from anyone.
- G is our wild man with no fear. He will crawl all over and on top of C. He is also a little better crawler. And he is a total Mommy boy.

do we look alike?

Apparently I only have taken pictures when they are wearing these pjs. Even though they look to be from the same day as the last couple, I promise this is a week or so later!

G really wanted to pet Cassie at Aunt Kacey's house. Cassie was not a fan, as she is with most things.

C crawls

C figured out how to crawl about a week and half ago too. G figured it out on Saturday and C figured it out by Sunday. I just didn't have a chance to post the video.

Here is a photo that was before xmas. When I saved it to the computer it added the snowflakes for me. Really weird how it could tell there was a santa hat and clearly needed snow with it.

Pictures from last week!

C

In other news. G started to army crawl today. I guess its time to baby proof the house now. C gets up on all fours but doesn't go anywhere. I guess they think sitting is for suckers and are just going to go straight to crawling.

hang out

This is pretty much where you can find the boys hangins out these days.

They love their activity center and walker.

saga continues...

So the boys are doing so much better. We went the doctor's for the second installment of the flu shot. I was slightly nervous because the boys got sick the last time we went. I think the boys made it out safely... but dad did not. He manage to get pink eye. So we went to an urgent care on a Saturday morning to get medicine, well now we think he manage to get sick from there too! Yikes! So hopefully he can kick this fast so no one else gets it. the boys didn't get the pink eye thankfully. We realized that they were on antibiotics for the ear infections so that probably help to keep them healthy.

Here is a cute video (from my phone.. so pretty low quality) of the boys talking to each other.
