Exploring the parks of Durham

These are photos from American Village park from last week. The kids loved all the toys that kids have left for others to use.

Sandbox time! Thanks for all the great gifts for our birthday!

Apparently the kids miss their infant car seats. They both climbed in and hung out in there.

Fun at the park

We spent the morning at a park in Cary before I ran errands. The Boys loved it here. We were the only ones, it was still cool and they had a nice rubber ground.
A video will be added later!

Happy Father's Day

We went out for a bike ride Sunday Morning with boys in the new bike trailer. It was a lot less comfy to take a nap in then the stroller. We had to eventually take off their helmets cause they were too heavy as they slept and their heads were in their laps. It wasn't much better with them off, but at least it looked a little more comfy.

Marcus got to pull them :)
We came home and ate lots of watermelon and strawberries! These boys LOVE to eat. I can't even begin to explain their love of food.

Doctor Visit

We had our 12 month check up today. 3 shots and a blood prick later we are doing well. G really hated the blood stick.

All is good. Iron levels look nice and they are growing well.

We are toddlers now! Watch out world

Things have gotten crazy quickly around here!

Here is a quick update on whats happening with the boys:

Calvin:

  • LOVES to chatter. He is often babbling on and on
  • Has 4 teeth still. The next set is really trying to make their way in.
  • He has been bossy to G lately. We went to food lion and rode in a cart that has race car steering wheels. He would not let G move his own wheel. He held G's wheel while he steered his wheel.
  • Loves to play with hoses

Graham:

  • Loves to climb. Everything is fair game
  • Has 5 teeth. One extra on top, while the one on the opposite side and two on the bottom are working their way in too.
  • Once he is done eating, he holds on to the last bite of food in his mouth for hours after dinner. Never know when you will need a snack.
  • Loves his ride on toy he got for his birthday. So much so that he will sit on it and fuss until someone will push him around the house in it. At which point he puts a huge grin on his face. Its hard to say no.

Both:

  • They love to play in water and outside. They have gotten a very nice tan already. We can't keep them inside! They get so angry.
  • Both walking
  • Try wearing shoes for the first time this past weekend since we were outside the whole time. They have broken them in very well. Might be already time for another pair....
  • They love squealing!
  • Hate stopping their play for a diaper change.
  • Drinking whole milk! No more formula!
  • Using sippy cups 85% of the time.
  • Sleeps from 6:30pm-6amish (Though we had 1.5 weeks of getting up at 5am... ugh)
  • Love playing with other kids.
